The Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chief Sales Officer. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales within the Convention and Visitors Industry, Hotel Sales, or a combination of both.
The Chief Sales Officer will oversee all sales activities in both the Group Tourism and Convention sides of the business, and will manage a staff of 6 employees. The Candidate will report to the President & CEO.
The Chief Sales Officer will play a major strategic role spearheading the sales department’s strategy development initiatives, ensuring that they remain consistent with the CVB’s overall strategy. The Chief Sales Officer will have a responsibility to work with the sales team to increase bookings through new client leads and relationships, and will design and implement appropriate sales strategies for all of the CVB’s sales channels.
Candidate will also be responsible for implementing key performance metrics for the sales team and working with team members to maximize success.
